Suzie succumbs to her injuries and sees that the gangsters have pinched Alex, so he bolts after them in a rage. Hammond is rudely awoken by this commotion, so he hurriedly rushes outside to Suzie’s aid. Suzie, skeptical about their appearance, remarks, “Since when do the police dress like common tarts?” After this audacious but firm diss, a struggle ensues, Suzie is shot dead, and the gang chase after Alex, shoving him into an awaiting vehicle, then taking off to an unspecified location.
